In the far-western part of Nepal, a young law student is gradually building his trajectory as a dynamic agent of change by connecting legal education with youth empowerment and social activism. Saud’s commitment extends beyond the classroom. He is the Representative of Nepal for the SA8+1 Youth Council, a regional platform that unites young leaders across South Asia on issues regarding economic constraints, climate vulnerability, and educational disparities among others. To this end, he contributes to cross-border dialogue and youth-led solutions, connecting Nepalese’s youth with broader international networks and opportunities.
Closer to home, Saud is the Secretary of Bolnaya Thali, a non-governmental organization committed to amplifying voices in Sudurpaschim Province. Under his leadership, since 2023 up to 2024, more than 16 anti-drug campaigns and cybersecurity awareness sessions have been carried out by the organization in schools across Dhangadhi, reaching over 2,500 students; such initiatives highlight his hands-on approach toward solving pressing social issues right at the grassroots.
Among his initiatives in legal education, Saud pioneered efforts to enrich practical legal skills within the province. He organized Sudurpaschim’s first-ever province-level moot court competition, alongside quiz contests and seminars, aiming to strengthen legal awareness and academic engagement among students.
His activism extends further into environmental advocacy as well. As the Province Lead for World Youth for Climate Justice, Saud works at the grassroots to policy-making levels for climate justice and sustainable practices in Nepal.

He aspires to raise well-informed and involved future leaders through simulated parliamentary procedures and debates, creating awareness about governance and policymaking.
According to Saud, “Youth are not just the future; they are active stakeholders today.” Therefore, he points out, “We can address local and global challenges through education, dialogue, and action” Padam Bahadur Saud is a strong example of the tangible impact young, determined minds can create by striking a perfect balance between academic pursuit and civic responsibility, inspiring his generation to lead with knowledge, empathy, and courage.
